2 injured during head-on collision on Vermont Route 30, Cornwall

CORNWALL — Police responded to a head-on-collision in Cornwall on Saturday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 30 at around 5:18 a.m.

According to the report, a juvenile was headed south and traveled into the opposing lane of travel.

Patrick Burke, 21, of Fair Haven, was headed north and attempted to avoid a collision, but was unable to do so.

Both drivers were transported to the University of Vermont Porter Medical Center.

The route was closed for several hours as a result of this crash.

Police were assisted by members of the Cornwall Fire Department and Middlebury Rescue.
