Armed robbery at Champlain Farms in Middlebury, store clerk hurt during assault

MIDDLEBURY — A convenience store in Middlebury was robbed last night.

An unidentified man entered the Champlain Farms, located on Court Street, and assaulted the store clerk with a blunt object at around 10:15 p.m.

The suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash, police say.

The suspect was wearing a white/black zip-up hoodie sweatshirt with a “Fox Racing” logo on the left chest, dark-colored pants, tan footwear, dark-colored gloves and possibly a light blue bandana covering his face.

The store clerk was transported to Porter Hospital by Middlebury Regional EMS, where he was treated and released.
