PANTON — A 29-year-old man was cited for operating under the influence of intoxicants after a crash in Panton on Saturday.
Police responded to the single-vehicle crash which took place on Jersey Street at around 10:00 p.m.
According to the initial police report, the driver, identified as Larry Swan, was headed west on Panton Road, at a high rate of speed.
Swan failed to negotiate a curve, and drove off the road.
Police say Swan then hit a parked vehicle and a house.
While speaking with Swan, police say they observed several signs of alcohol impairment.
Police took Swan into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported him to the Vergennes Police Department for processing.
He was cited to appear in court to answer the charges.
