Driver arrested following crash in Starksboro

STARKSBORO — A 33-year-old man from Burlington was arrested following a crash in Starksboro yesterday.

The single-vehicle crash took place on Vermont Route 17 at around 8:20 p.m.

Police identified the driver as Robert Warner Jr.

According to the report, prior to the crash, Warner was headed south on Gore Road.

He struck a stop sign and afterward traveled across the intersection and into a marsh.

Police say they observed several signs of alcohol impairment while speaking with Warner.

Warner was screened, taken into custody for suspicion of DUI, and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.

He was issued a citation to appear in court to answer the charge of operating under the influence of intoxicants.

He was later released to a responsible sober party.

Police say nobody was injured in this crash.
