Driver cited for DUI after two-vehicle crash in Lincoln

LINCOLN — A 49-year-old man was arrested for DUI following a crash in Lincoln yesterday.

The two-vehicle crash took place on South Lincoln Road at the intersection of Ripton Road at around 7:54 p.m.

Police identified one of the drivers as Anthony J. Rochon, of Ripton.

Rochon was headed east on Ripton Road when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic while making a left turn onto South Lincoln Road.

Rochon then hit Russell G. Hill, 49, of Lincoln, who was headed south.

While speaking with Hill, police say they detected signs of impairment.

He was screened and arrested for suspicion of DUI.

He was transported to the New Haven barracks for processing and released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.

Police were assisted on scene by members of Lincoln Fire-EMS and say there were no major injuries in the crash.
