Driver injured during rollover crash on Vermont Route 53, Goshen

GOSHEN — A 51-year-old man from Maine was involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Goshen yesterday.

The crash took place on US Route 53 at around 10:05 p.m.

According to the report, Irving Felker, of Yarmouth, ME, was headed west when he encountered a deer and swerved to avoid striking the animal.

Felker’s vehicle traveled off the road onto the soft shoulder where his vehicle rolled several times and came to rest partially in the westbound lane of travel.

He was transported to the Rutland Regional Medical Center for suspected minor injuries.

Members of the State Police were assisted on scene by members of the Brandon Fire Department and Brandon Rescue Squad.
