NEW HAVEN — A 40-year-old woman from Vergennes is facing multiple charges following a crash with injuries in New Haven yesterday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on River Road at around 10:25 p.m.
Police say Crystal Hall was headed east at an unknown speed when her vehicle left the traveled portion of the road and hit a tree head-on.
The vehicle came to rest down a slight embankment among the heavy brush.
Police say they observed several signs of alcohol impairment while speaking with Hall.
She was transported to the hospital to be treated for what police describe as “internal injuries.”
Police say a passenger inside the vehicle, a juvenile, was transported as well and sustained injuries from the crash.
Hall was cited to appear in court to answer the charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substance, negligent operation, and recklessly endangering another person.
State Police were assisted on scene by members of the Middlebury Police Department, members of the New Haven Fire Department, Bristol and Middlebury Rescue Squads.
