SALISBURY — A 39-year-old woman from Brandon was killed in a snowmobile crash in Salisbury on Saturday.

The crash took place on Lake Dunmore at around 7:00 p.m.

While enroute, police were notified that one of the crash victims was unresponsive.

Police say Amanda Warren, 43, of Salisbury, was driving the snowmobile and identified a passenger riding on back as Kristle Humiston.

Warren collided with an embankment around the lake and sustained multiple injuries during the crash.

Humiston was pronounced deceased by members of Middlebury Regional Emergency.

Warren was transported to Porter Hospital in Middlebury and later transferred to the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Police are investigating this crash and say that alcohol impairment is suspected to be a contributing factor to this crash.

Neither Warren or Humiston were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
