Four people injured after head-on collision in Bridport

BRIDPORT — Four people were injured during a two-car crash in Bridport yesterday.

Police were dispatched to the crash on Route 22A at around 6:05 p.m.

According to the initial police report, a Hyundai Sonata was headed north when it crossed the centerline and hit a jeep that was headed south.

Police say both vehicles had one passenger, and all four occupants were transported to the hospital with what police describe as “moderate injuries.”

Multiple fire departments and rescue squads assisted on scene.

As a result of the crash, Route 22A was temporarily closed.

Police say this investigation is in the early stages, and no other information is available at this time.
