Jiffy Mart burglarized in New Haven

NEW HAVEN — Police say they are investigating a burglary that took place in New Haven early this morning.

Police were alerted by a motion alarm that triggered at the Jiffy Mart convenience store on US Route 7, at around 2:31 a.m.

Forced entry was gained through the front door.

Police say two subjects entered the business and stole an undetermined amount of cigarettes and other tobacco products.

The suspects quickly departed the area on foot and it is unknown if they were later picked up by a motor vehicle.
