NEW HAVEN — A 49-year-old man from Charlotte was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in New Haven yesterday.

A man was reported unresponsive in a vehicle at the Jiffy Convenience Store at around 10:50 a.m.

Police say the man was in actual physical control of the motor vehicle at the time.

Police identified the driver as Scott Lee.

Lee was screened by members of the Bristol Rescue Squad and released into the custody of the State Police.

While speaking with Lee, police observed and detected several signs of drug impairment.

He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

He was then transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.

After processing, Lee was issued a criminal citation to appear in court on July 20.
