Police say they were patrolling the area of US Route 7 at around 8:43 p.m.

Police say while travelling south they observed a vehicle headed north at a high rate of speed while passing another vehicle.

Police say they activated the radar device and confirmed that the vehicle was travelling at 86 miles-per-hour in a posted 50 miles-per-hour zone.

Police initiated a traffic stop and identified the operator as Justin T. Stone.
