STARKSBORO — Police are investigating a shooting that took place in Starksboro this morning.
The incident left a man with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police assigned to the New Haven barracks, along with detectives assigned to the Criminal Division, responded to the call at around 6:51 a.m.
According to the report, a firearm was discharged inside a home, injuring a 30-year-old man.
The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he was treated for an injury to his lower extremities.
Police say the injury was not life-threatening and the victim’s name is being withheld at this time pending the ongoing police investigation.
There is no danger to the public, police say.
