Police arrest two Shoreham residents for DUI after finding car off the road

SHOREHAM — Two Shoreham residents were arrested for DUI following an incident on Vermont Route 22A yesterday.

Police responded to a report of a car off the road in Shoreham at around 5:53 p.m.

According to the Tpr. Sean Hauter, Neil Freeman, 47, and Jason Babcock, 40, “had each been in total physical control of the vehicle just prior to the Troopers arrival.”

Police say while speaking with Freeman and Babcock, they detected indicators of impairment.

Both Freeman and Babcock were screened and police arrested them for DUI.

Police say both were transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.

After processing, both were cited to appear in court to answer to the charges of DUI #3 for Freemen, and DUI #1 for Babcock.
