SHOREHAM — A 58-year-old man was arrested after police say he failed a requirement to drive his vehicle with an alcohol ignition interlock device.

Police say they initiated the traffic stop on Vermont Route 22A in Shoreham, near the intersection with Lapham Bay Road, at around 9:30 a.m.

The driver was identified as Scott Robar, of Jeffersonville.

Police say during the traffic stop, they learned that the vehicle driven by Robar was not equipped with an ignition interlock device, which he is required to have under Vermont law.

Subsequently, police arrested Robar and transported him to the New Haven barracks for processing.

Police say he was cited to answer the charge in court on January 27.
