Police: Erratic driver arrested for DUI Drugs, Vergennes

VERGENNES — A 30-year-old man from New York was arrested for DUI following an incident in Vergennes yesterday.

Police were notified that a vehicle was driving erratically and drove off of the road several times on Vermont Route 22A at around 6:20 p.m.

The driver was identified as Jeffrey M. Zagorski, of Hudson Falls, NY.

While speaking with Zagorski, police say they detected signs of impairment.

He was screened for DUI and arrested for suspicion of DUI Drugs.

He was transported to the Vergennes Police Department for processing and later released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.

Troopers were assisted on scene by members of the Vergennes Police Department.
