FERRISBURGH — Police are looking for a driver who led them on a high-speed chase in Ferrisburgh yesterday.

A vehicle was seen headed south on U.S. Route 7 at a high rate of speed, passing another vehicle unsafely at around 11:43 p.m.

According to the report, the vehicle was clocked doing 77 miles-per-hour in a posted 50 miles-per-hour zone.

Failing to stop when police attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver led them on a pursuit reaching speeds of over 120 miles-per-hour.

Police say the vehicle came to a stop at Green Mountain Pet & Tack Supply, and the driver took off into the woods on foot.

A K-9 track was conducted but the driver was not located.

Several containers of alcohol were located within the vehicle, police say.
