Salisbury man arrested after traffic stop

NEW HAVEN — A 35-year-old Salisbury man was arrested following an incident in New Haven on Wednesday.

Police initiated a traffic stop on US Route 7 at around 4:17 p.m.

Police say they identified the driver as Justin Lafave, and found that his privilege to drive on a public highway was under suspension.

During the traffic stop, police allege that Lafave engaged in threatening behavior in a public place used abusive and obscene language.

According to the report, he also obstructed traffic at the scene.

Police took Lafave into custody and transported him to the New Haven barracks for booking.

He was later released on a citation to appear in court.
