STARKSBORO — A 38-year-woman was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Starksboro yesterday.
Police say they attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop on Big Hollow Road at around 8:56 p.m.
The vehicle failed to yield and subsequently led police on a brief pursuit.
The pursuit came to an abrupt end when the driver failed to safely navigate a left turn onto Hollow Road.
The vehicle left the road and came to a position of rest down a slight embankment.
Police identified the driver as Jessica Baker, of Starksboro.
While speaking with Baker, police say several signs of alcohol impairment were observed.
Police took Baker into custody after a brief struggle on scene and transported her to the New Haven barracks for processing.
She was released on a citation to answer the charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substance, eluding a police officer, negligent operation, resisting arrest, and assault of a protected professional.
