Three injured during motorcycle crash on Vermont Route 116, Bristol

BRISTOL — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries involving a motorcycle in Bristol on Friday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 116 at around 6:53 p.m.

One of the drivers was identified as Martin Meyers, 56, of South Burlington, and the passenger as 54-year-old Evonn Meyers.

The other driver was identified as Julianne Seymour, 53, of Bolton, CT.

According to the report, Meyers was headed north on the motorcycle when he entered the curve in the road and crossed into the southbound lane.

Seymour was headed south and Martin was unable to maintain control of his vehicle before sliding and hitting the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Both vehicles came to rest at the intersection of Route 116 and River Road.

Police say Martin and Evonn were transported to the hospital where they were treated for injuries.

Seymour was transported to Porter Hospital where she was treated.

Police were assisted by the Bristol Police Department, Bristol Rescue Squad, Bristol Fire Department, and Middlebury Rescue.
