Two arrested after fight in Granville

GRANVILLE — Two people are facing numerous charges following an incident in Granville yesterday.

Authorities were notified of a fight at a residence on Harper’s Way at 6:05 p.m.

Police say they spoke with those involved and determined that two victims had been assaulted, one by Riley Winch, 37, of Granville, and one by Alexandra Gruner, 37, of Chelsea.

During the altercation, Winch allegedly operated a vehicle of one of the victims without consent, with damage resulting.

Gruner is alleged to have also broken the rear windshield wiper of a vehicle, drove it to the end of the road to block traffic, and was intoxicated when doing so.

Police say they arrested Winch and processed him without incident and while attempting to take Gruner into custody, she resisted arrest and assaulted several of them.

Winch was cited and transported to the Grace House to detox, and Gruner was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility for detox.

Gruner is facing charges of vehicle operation without owner’s consent, DUI, disorderly conduct, simple assault, resisting arrest, and assault on a law enforcement officer.

Winch is facing charges of simple assault and aggravated vehicle operation without the owner’s consent.
