Woman seriously injured during single-vehicle crash in Ferrisburgh

FERRISBURGH — An 18-year-old woman from Williston was seriously injured after a crash in Ferrisburgh yesterday.

The crash took place on Monkton Road near the intersection with Bisbee Road at around 7:00 p.m.

The driver, identified as Madison Valiquette, was airlifted to the University Of Vermont Medical Center.

Police say Valiquette was headed west on Monkton Road, then crossed the centerline and left the road and collided with a telephone pole.

Police say they are investigating this crash and no other information is currently available.

State Police were assisted on scene by members of the Vergennes Police Department, Vergennes Fire Department, the Vergennes Area Rescue Squad, and other first responders.
