500-pound cider press stolen in Topsham

TOPSHAM — Police are investigating a theft that took place in Topsham yesterday.

The incident took place at 374 Topsham Corinth Road between 2:30 p.m and 3:00 p.m.

A large, cast iron, cider press weighing nearly 500 pounds was taken off the porch of 83-year-old Glenn Dow’s shop.

Witnesses described a light-colored vehicle parked in front of Dow’s shop and left traveling towards Powder Spring Road.
