BRADFORD — A 35-year-old cyclist from New Hampshire sustained serious injuries after crashing into a car in Bradford yesterday.

The incident took place on Main Street at around 6:20 p.m.

Police say that Alex Orum, of Keene, was headed north on a bicycle when Robert Arthur Metzler, 78, of North Thetford, backed into the travel lane and was preparing to head northbound.

Police say Orum then collided into the back of Metzler’s vehicle.

As a result, Orum sustained serious injuries and was taken by EMS to the White River Junction VA Medical Center.
