Deer causes crash on I-91, Fairlee

FAIRLEE — A 46-year-old woman from Groton significantly damaged her vehicle after hitting a deer in Fairlee on Monday.

The single-vehicle crash took place on Interstate 91 at around 4:30 p.m.

The driver, identified as Sara Dennis, told police that she did not see the animal which jumped out from the median.

The airbags in the vehicle had deployed and were no longer operable.

Police say nobody was injured during the crash.

Darling’s Auto was called to removed the vehicle from the scene.
