Driver arrested for DUI after police chase in Chelsea

CHELSEA — A 31-year-old Washington man was arrested for DUI, attempting to elude a police officer and negligent operation after a police chase in Chelsea on Tuesday.

Police were notified that a man had parked his vehicle at a diesel pump at the Vermont 110 Quick Stop for over an hour and appeared to be under the influence at around 2:09 p.m.

Police approached the man, identified as Wyndham Lee, who entered his vehicle and fled the scene when they arrived.

Police say they attempted a traffic stop, but Lee failed to stop a pursuit ensued.

The chase ended at Lee’s home.

He was arrested for suspicion of DUI and other various charges.

Police transported him to the State police barracks and subsequently transported to CVMC for further Medical evaluation and processing.

He was cited to appear in court on January 29 to answer charges.
