Driver hits moose in Bradford

BRADFORD — A 25-year-old Danville man hit a moose in Bradford early yesterday morning.

Police responded to the crash scene on Interstate 91 north at around 4:24 a.m.

According to the police report, Andrew Towle had just gotten onto the interstate when a moose ran in front of him.

He swerved in an attempt to avoid the moose but caught it on his passenger side.

Police say the moose died as a result of the crash.

The moose was removed from the highway with the assistance of a Vermont Game Warden.
