Driver injured after crashing into UPS truck in Vershire

VERSHIRE — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Vershire yesterday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 113, near the intersection of Goose Green Road at around 4:45 p.m.

Police say that Charles Crocker, 76, of Chelsea, was headed west when he crossed the center line and entered the eastbound lane.

Crocker’s vehicle hit an oncoming UPS Truck, driven by a 59-year-old Timothy Leblanc, of West Fairlee.

Police say both vehicles sustained damage to their front passenger’s side.

Crocker was transported to the hospital for suspected minor injuries.

“Speed and road conditions are believed to be factors in the crash,” a statement issued by the police reads.

Police were still investigating this crash.
