Fake bills circulating in Wells River area

WELLS RIVER — Local police are investigating several counterfeit $100 bills that have been used in the Wells River area.

Police say fake bills have also been turning up in the Woodsville, NH area within the past 3 weeks.

Today the Vermont State Police said that a possible suspect is being described as a male subject in his late 20s to early 30s, about 6 feet tall, dark-colored hair with a possible green colored PT Cruiser or similar type vehicle.
