Man arrested after destroying property in Orange, leading police on high-speed chase

ORANGE — A 38-year-old man from Barre was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Orange on Saturday.

Police say they were notified that a man was destroying property at home on Vermont Route 110 at around 8:58 p.m.

Police identified the man as Kyle Green, and say he had left the area in a vehicle when they arrived.

According to the report, Green broke a window at the home as well as two windows of a vehicle parked in the driveway.

At around 10:00 p.m, police located Green’s vehicle on Tucker Road.

They initiated a traffic stop but say Green fled at a high rate of speed.

The pursuit ended when Green returned home and fled into the woods on foot, police say.

He was located with the assistance of a K9 unit and arrested.

Police say Green was driving the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and had a Vermont operator’s license that was under criminal suspension.

He was transported to the Middlesex barracks for processing.

He was ordered held on $2,500 bail and ordered to appear at the court today to answer to the charges of DUI #4, attempting to elude, negligent operation, excessive speed,
criminal dls, and unlawful mischief.

He was transported to the Barre City Police Department where he was lodged.
