Multi-state police chase ends in Tunbridge

TUNBRIDGE — Police arrested a 25-year-old man from Maine following a multi-state police chase that ended in Tunbridge yesterday.

Police say they spotted the vehicle which was involved in a pursuit with New Hampshire State

Police and had driven into Vermont, on Interstate 89 north.

The vehicle took exit 2 off I-89 and continued north on Vermont Route 132 into Strafford.

Police deployed spikes on the vehicle several times during the pursuit.

The vehicle was finally stopped at the intersection of Vermont Route 110 and Strafford Road in Tunbridge.

Alexander Cattell, of Falmouth, ME, was taken into custody at that time.

Police say the investigation into the pursuit is still active, and that Cattell is facing charges of attempting to elude, and careless and negligent operation.
