Newbury man injured after hitting horse in Bradford

BRADFORD — A 32-year-old Newbury man was injured in a single-vehicle crash after hitting a horse in Bradford yesterday.

Police responded to the crash which took place on Waits River Road near Taplin Hill Road at around 6:15 p.m.

According to the police report, the driver, Jake Woodward, was headed north on Waits River Road when a horse entered the road.

Woodward subsequently hit the horse.

He was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Police say the horse died in the crash.
