Orange county residents cited after fight involving a knife

ORANGE — Two men were cited for aggravated assault and simple assault following a fight in Orange yesterday.

Police say they were alerted of a dispute involving a knife on George Street at around 3:21 p.m.

Police identified the involved parties involved as Steven Brown, 32, and Michael Duke, 41, both from Orange.

Following an investigation, police allege that during the altercation Duke punched Brown in the head, and Brown cut Duke in the abdomen area with a foldable knife.

Both parties sustained non-life-threatening injuries and both declined medical treatment.

Police say Brown was cited for aggravated assault, and Duke was cited for simple assault.

Brown and Duke were both ordered to appear in court on September 23.
