Orange resident arrested for DUI, assault on police officer

BOLTON — A 37-year-old man from Orange was arrested on multiple charges including DUI, following a crash in Bolton yesterday.

The crash took place on I-89 at around 11:58 a.m.

Police say they made contact with Chad G. Spencer, and that he displayed several signs of impairment.

As a result, Spencer was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI drugs.

Police say while attempting to arrest Spencer, he physically resisted their efforts to take him into custody.

According to the report, he assaulted one of the troopers.

He was eventually transported to the Williston State Police barracks for processing.

He is charged with DUI second offense, resisting arrest, assault of a protected professional, and disorderly conduct.
