WASHINGTON — A 39-year-old man from Orange was charged with home improvement fraud.

State police say they were contacted by Donna MacPherson, 56, of Revere, Massachusetts, of a possible home improvement fraud on January 12, 2019.

She told police Edward Bailey was hired to renovate a cabin and he did not complete it.

Police say initially the case was referred to the Attorney General’s Office to help resolve the situation without criminal charges.

Ultimately Bailey failed to follow a contract between him and MacPherson and he failed to complete the renovation project.

He was issued a citation to appear in court to answer to this offense.
