Police: Driver arrested for DUI drugs and possession of heroin in Bradford

BRADFORD — A 46-year-old man from Williamstown was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Bradford yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a suspicious vehicle parked behind Jiffy Mart on Waits River Road at around 2:20 a.m.

According to the report, police located a blue Ford F150 with the engine revving while parked when they arrived.

The driver was identified as Christopher Kirk.

Kirk showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of drugs, police say.

Suspected heroin was found on Kirk’s person at the time of the arrest along with other unknown controlled substances.

Kirk’s privilege to operate a motor vehicle on a public highway in Vermont was determined to be criminally suspended.

He has processed at the VSP Bradford Outpost.

He was later released to a sober adult with a citation to appear in court to answer to the charges of DUI drugs, possession of heroin, criminal DLS, possession of multiple unknown controlled substances.
