WELLS RIVER — A 38-year-old man will face charges for using counterfeit $100 bills in Wells River, following an investigation that started back in 2019.

Police say the investigation led them to Matthew Moore, of Wells River.

During an interview in February, authorities say Moore confessed to using the counterfeit $100 bills at a few businesses in the Wells River, and Woodsville, New Hampshire.

He was cited for counterfeiting into Orange County Court on April 15.
