Police: Williamstown fire considered suspicious

WILLIAMSTOWN — Police are investigating a fire that broke out in Williamstown yesterday.

The fire took place on Baptist Road at around 3:23 a.m.

Police say nobody was injured during the incident.

Members of the Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit responded to the scene early that morning and initiated an investigation.

They say the house was unoccupied during the time leading up to the fire.

Police were still investigating this fire and say it is considered suspicious.

The Williamstown Fire Department was assisted by Barre Town Fire Department, Washington Fire Department, Brookfield Fire Department, Chelsea Fire Department, Berlin Fire Department and East Randolph Fire Department.
