RANDOLPH — A 33-year-old man from Connecticut is facing multiple charges following an incident in Randolph yesterday.
Authorities were notified that a man high on drugs was breaking into multiple homes on Gifford Hill Road at around 10:45 p.m.
Police say one of the victims informed them the man had just run into the field across from his home and provided police a brief physical description of the individual.
Police say they located and apprehended the suspect, who assaulted a trooper and refused to comply.
He was transported by ambulance to Gifford Hospital where he was evaluated and released into state police custody, where he was identified as Michael Kennedy, of Hartford, Connecticut.
He is scheduled to appear in court today to answer the charges of burglary of an occupied dwelling, assault on law enforcement, and resisting arrest.
Police say bail was also set at $10,000 and he was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility.
