Teen killed during head-on collision in Washington

WASHINGTON — A Washington teen is dead following a head-on crash Monday afternoon.

Police responded to the two-vehicle crash on West Corinth Road at around 3:45 p.m.

Alan Holmes, 19, of Washington, was removed from his vehicle and transported to the Central Vermont Medical Center, and later transferred to the University of Vermont Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police say Holmes was traveling north on West Corinth when he collided with a truck in the southbound lane.

The driver of the pickup, identified as Casey Pratt, 19, of Corinth, was uninjured.
