RANDOLPH — A Vermont man is facing charges after police say his firearm discharged inside a restaurant in New Hampshire.
On November 23, police in Lebanon, NH, say they responded to Denny’s Restaurant for a report of a male subject who had accidentally discharged a firearm in the restaurant and was injured.
When officers arrived, they met with the male who was identified as Michael Bushey, 21, of Bethel.
Bushey had suffered minor, non-life-threatening injuries as a result of his firearm discharging and striking his leg.
Although there were several patrons near Bushey when his firearm discharged, there were no other injuries.
A black .45 caliber pistol was seized at the scene.
Lebanon Police Detectives conducted additional investigation into the incident, including a review of Denny’s surveillance video, which leads to an arrest warrant being issued yesterday charging Bushey with reckless conduct with a firearm, a Class B felony offense.
Bushey was arrested on December 12, and released on a court date later this month in New Hampshire.
