RANDOLPH — Winter is fast approaching, which means parking rules have changed in Randolph.
The Randolph village winter parking ban is now in effect until April 1, 2020.
The rule from the town ordinances read:
It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on any street or to block any sidewalk within the Police District, which in any way interferes with the prompt snow plowing and orderly removal of snow or ice.
This parking ban shall be effective between the hours of 11:00 p.m. on one day and 6:00 a.m. the next day.
Signs warning of the parking ban shall be placed on all entry highways to the Police District prior to November 1 and shall be removed after April 1.
The highway department or police department shall make an attempt to contact the vehicle owner so snow removal and plowing are not compromised.
If the owner cannot be contacted or refuses to move the vehicle the town is authorized to have the vehicle towed at the owner’s expense.
