Woman facing charges after spray painting heart pickup truck, Newbury

NEWBURY — A 30-year-old woman is facing charges after a bizarre incident in Newbury on Saturday.

The incident took place on Camp Farwell Drive at around 7:00 a.m.

Police say they received a call from Meaghean Emerson, of Ryegate, reporting that she was at a home in Newbury and looking for her cell phone.

State police say they received a second report from the same home reporting a disturbance.

According to the report, police allege that Emerson had entered two separate homes when they arrived.

Police say Emerson had no permission to enter either home.

Following an investigation, it was also found that she had spray-painted a heart to the side of a pickup truck that did not belong to her.

Police say she is being charged with unlawful trespass and unlawful mischief.
