Benson man found passed out by police after attempting to break into home in Wells

WELLS — Police responded to a call of an attempted burglary at a home in Wells yesterday morning and found a 24-year-old man from Benson passed out at the scene. 

Police say they were notified by the homeowner that someone had broken through his mudroom door and was actively attempted to break the interior door of the home at around 6:09 a.m.

Police detained the subject when they found him passed out when they arrived. 

He was identified as Kyle Parker, 24, of Benson.
 
Police said that Parker damaged several parts of the homeowner’s residence when entering into the home.
 
He was cited to appear in court on December 16 on charges of unlawful trespass and unlawful mischief.
