DUI crash in West Rutland

WEST RUTLAND — A 34-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges after a crash in West Rutland yesterday.

The single-vehicle crash took place at the intersection of Pleasant Street on Main Street at around 9:13 p.m.

Police located a 2003 Jeep Liberty off the north side of the road when they arrived.

The driver, identified as Dale Smith, was located at his home in West Rutland.

While speaking to Smith about the crash, police say they observed several signs of impairment.

He was screened for DUI and arrested for suspicion of DUI, Criminal DLS, and leaving the scene of an accident.

He was processed in the State Police barracks in Rutland and later released with a citation to appear in court.
