Fatal crash in Shrewsbury

MOUNT HOLLY — A 21-year-old man from Mount Holly was killed during a two-vehicle crash in Shrewsbury on Monday.

At around 3:30 p.m. emergency workers responded to the scene on Vermont Route 103, north of Town Hill Road.

Police say Ryan Ahonen was traveling north when his vehicle crossed the centerline into the southbound lane and crashed into a vehicle driven by Benjamin Dufield, 49, of Springfield.

Dufield was uninjured.

Ahonen was pronounced deceased at the scene, police say.
