CLARENDON — Authorities are investigating a death that took place in Clarendon yesterday.
Police say a middle-aged man was found deceased under the U.S. Route 7 bridge near the intersection of Route 7B at around 11:35 p.m.
The man has not yet been positively identified, however, police say they believe they know his identity.
He was apparently homeless and living under the bridge for a prolonged period of time, police say.
State Police investigators along with an Assistant Medical Examiner responded to the scene.
The body was transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
Police say the death is not considered suspicious and they are continuing to investigate this case.
