EAST WALLINGFORD — Mac’s Market in East Wallingford was robbed last night.
Police say at around 6:20 p.m. the suspect, described as a white male, entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk.
The suspect led the clerk to believe he had a handgun.
However, police say that no weapons were displayed.
The suspect left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise from the store.
The suspect is believed to have gotten into a vehicle at the intersection of VT Route 103 and Village Street and then traveled west on Village Street.
The suspect is described as a white male approximately 5’6” wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, with a dark color material covering his face, wearing gloves, blue jeans and dark-colored sneakers.
Police say no one was injured during this incident.
