FAIR HAVEN — Police say they are investigating a harassment incident that took place online on Saturday.

According to police, an unknown individual posted on Facebook claiming to be a Fair Haven resident selling pre-packaged Meals Ready to Eat, or MREs, that had been obtained from the Vermont National Guard.

Following an investigation, police found that the individual in question was not the author of the post, had no involvement with the Guard’s MRE program, and was the victim of targeted harassment.

Anyone with information about this incident is being asked to call Trooper Kipp Colburn at 802-773-9101.

Police say they are still investigating this case and no further information is available at this time.
