HUBBARDTON — Police are asking the public to help identify a driver who fled the scene after hitting a car in Hubbardton yesterday.

The two-vehicle crash took place on Vermont Route 30 at around 10:43 p.m.

Police say the driver of the unidentified vehicle, which was described as possibly a dark color Jeep Wrangler, fled the scene prior to their arrival.

The vehicle was headed north when it crossed into the southbound lane and hit the front driver’s side area of another vehicle driven by Kathleen Crossman, 38, of Castleton.

Police say Crossman was not injured but her vehicle appeared to be totaled.

They say the vehicle that fled should have driver’s side front end damage.
